2018 Met Gala Favorites

The Met Gala is inevitably my favorite fashion event every year. The looks are always wildly inspiring and fun. The makeup is incredible. The themes are thought provoking and intriguing. I cannot express fully how much I look forward to this event every year. So here we go man, below are my favorites (and not so favorites) from the 2018 Met Gala.

Do I really need to say anything here? Her dress is truly incredible, and I didn't see many others taking the theme in this direction. I can't imagine how heavy this dress must have been to lug around all night though. I would imagine that if I wore something like this, I would be sore as hell for the next week lol. Her makeup suited the dress quite nicely as well. She went with a more subdued, natural look so as to not detract any attention away from the Joan-of-Arc inspired Versace dress and the Tiffany & Co jewelry that she accessorized with. I am also LIVING for choppy, short little bangs like she has going on. I rock them myself currently ;)

I have idolized these two since I was a very small child, Mary-Kate especially. Though we don't see them in the spotlight so often anymore, I love that they have made the Met Gala a habit and continue to show up. They always seem to be so effortlessly perfect with their loose waves, nude lips, soft smokey eyes, and perfect brows. I don't know how they manage to have this kind of textured hair, and subtly dewy skin– but I love it and consistently fail at mimicking it myself lol. These dresses they've chosen to grace us with are both vintage Paco Rabanne

I like to think that if I were to have attended this years Met Gala, I would have chosen to wear something similar to what Rosie Huntington Whiteley wore. To me, this outfit and headpiece are the full embodiment of the theme and I love a deep, plunging neckline. She looks incredibly stunning. I love everything about this, and I need to know what lip-color that is.
